Here’s a simple guide to whipping up wonderfully fluffy American pancakes! This easy basic recipe uses just a few ingredients and can be prepared in no time, making it ideal for a cozy Sunday breakfast!

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE DOUGH

  • 250 g
  • wheat flour (type 405)
  • 2 – 3 tablespoons
  • Sugar
  • 2 tsp
  • baking powder
  • 1 pinch
  • Salt
  • 2
  • eggs (size M)
  • 200 ml
  • Milk
  • Some cooking oil (e.g. sunflower oil)
  • some maple syrup for garnish
  • some berries for garnish

PREPARATION

Step 1: Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Add the eggs and milk, then mix everything until you achieve a smooth batter. Heat some oil in a pan over medium heat. Pour 2 tablespoons of the batter into the pan for each pancake, aiming for a diameter of about 10 cm.

Step 2: Cook each pancake for about 2 minutes, or until small bubbles form on the surface. Flip the pancake and cook the other side for an additional 2 minutes. Serve the American pancakes garnished with berries and maple syrup.
